Frequently Asked Questions
What types of flooring do you install (e.g., LVP, carpet, tile, hardwood)?
We install a wide range of flooring, including luxury vinyl plank (LVP), carpet, tile, hardwood, and laminate. If you have something specific in mind, we’re happy to help.
Are there ways to save on your flooring project?
We’ll always do our best to keep your project budget-friendly. In many cases, we can beat contractor or big-box store estimates. Buying materials through us can also help lower your labor cost, and if you have multiple projects, your second and third may qualify for up to 20% off. Nice little bonus.
Can you give me an estimate over the phone?
We totally get wanting a ballpark estimate—but to give you the most accurate pricing (and avoid surprises later), we really need to see the space in person. It helps us understand the details and make sure everything goes smoothly from the start!
Do you subcontract out your labor?
Nope! All of our work is completed by our in-house team of skilled and experienced professionals. We believe in consistency, quality, and accountability—so the people you meet are the same people who’ll be working on your home.
Trying to choose between LVP and laminate?
Here’s the quick scoop: LVP is a vinyl floor, so it handles moisture like a champ. It’s a great fit for kitchens, bathrooms, and basements. Laminate gives you a similar wood-look style at a budget-friendly price, but it’s not as water-friendly. If you want help picking the best match for your space, we’ll walk you through it. No guesswork—just a floor that fits the job.
Can flooring be installed over existing floors?
In many cases, yes! It depends on the type and condition of your current flooring. We’ll assess it and let you know the best approach during your estimate.
What is a floating floor?
A floating floor is a type of flooring installation where the planks or tiles lock together and "float" over the subfloor without being nailed or glued down. It’s held in place by the tight fit of the pieces and the room’s edges, often with an underlayment for cushioning and sound control.
Will you install flooring I purchase elsewhere?
Yes! We’re happy to install flooring you’ve already purchased. We’ll inspect the materials first to make sure they’re suitable for your space and project.
Is there a warranty on the installation or flooring materials?
Yes! We offer a 1-year warranty on all labor. If you purchase your flooring materials through us, those materials are covered by a 25-year warranty. If you provide your own materials, they’ll be covered under the manufacturer’s warranty, which may vary by brand.
How long does flooring installation typically take?
The timeline depends on the size of the space and the type of flooring, but most projects take 1–3 days. We’ll give you a more accurate estimate after the initial consultation.
Do I need to move my furniture before the installation?
We ask that you move small items and personal belongings ahead of time. If you'd like us to handle large furniture or appliances, we’re happy to help for a small additional fee—just let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.
Is it okay for you to stay home during installation?
Usually, yes. For smaller jobs, you can often stay home while we work. For bigger projects or multi-day installs, you may want to plan around limited access to the work area. We’ll help you know what to expect before the first plank drops.
Can my pet be in the house during installation?
We love your fur-babies! 🐾 While pets are welcome in the home, we recommend keeping them safely away from the work area during installation. This helps avoid stress for them and keeps everyone safe while tools and materials are in use.

Do you remove old flooring before installing the new one?
Yes — in many projects, we can tear out and remove your old flooring before the new floor goes in. We’ll review the space during your estimate so we can map out the cleanest path from old floor to fresh start.
What happens during an in-home estimate?
We’ll come take a look at your space, measure the area, check the existing flooring and subfloor, and talk through your goals. Then we’ll recommend the best options and give you a clear quote, so you know exactly what the project looks like before we get rolling.
Will you fix subfloor issues before installation?
We handle many common subfloor prep needs, like leveling and minor repairs, so your new flooring has a solid foundation. If we spot a bigger issue, we’ll let you know what’s needed before we roll ahead.

Absolutely. We carry premium options from top brands like SHAW and MSI, and we’ll help you narrow it down based on your space, style, traffic, and budget. No guesswork marathon needed.
