Frequently Asked Questions
What types of flooring do you install (e.g., LVP, carpet, tile, hardwood)?
We install a wide range of flooring, including luxury vinyl plank (LVP), carpet, tile, hardwood, and laminate. If you have something specific in mind, we’re happy to help.
Do you offer discounts?
We want to make your project as budget-friendly as possible! We’ll do our best to beat other contractor or big-box store estimates. Plus, when you purchase materials through us, it helps lower your labor cost—and if you're tackling multiple projects, your second and third can be up to 20% off.
Can you give me an estimate over the phone?
We totally get wanting a ballpark estimate—but to give you the most accurate pricing (and avoid surprises later), we really need to see the space in person. It helps us understand the details and make sure everything goes smoothly from the start!
Do you subcontract out your labor?
Nope! All of our work is completed by our in-house team of skilled and experienced professionals. We believe in consistency, quality, and accountability—so the people you meet are the same people who’ll be working on your home.
What is the difference between LVP and Laminate?
LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) and laminate flooring may look similar, but they’re made from different materials. LVP is a waterproof vinyl product, making it a great choice for bathrooms, kitchens, and basements. It’s durable and handles moisture very well. Laminate is made from high-density fiberboard with a photographic layer that mimics wood or stone. While laminate is also durable and budget-friendly, it's more susceptible to water damage than LVP. If you’re looking for water resistance, LVP is typically the better option.
Can flooring be installed over existing floors?
In many cases, yes! It depends on the type and condition of your current flooring. We’ll assess it and let you know the best approach during your estimate.
What is a floating floor?
A floating floor is a type of flooring installation where the planks or tiles lock together and "float" over the subfloor without being nailed or glued down. It’s held in place by the tight fit of the pieces and the room’s edges, often with an underlayment for cushioning and sound control.
Will you install flooring I purchase elsewhere?
Yes! We’re happy to install flooring you’ve already purchased. We’ll inspect the materials first to make sure they’re suitable for your space and project.
Is there a warranty on the installation or flooring materials?
Yes! We offer a 1-year warranty on all labor. If you purchase your flooring materials through us, those materials are covered by a 25-year warranty. If you provide your own materials, they’ll be covered under the manufacturer’s warranty, which may vary by brand.
How long does flooring installation typically take?
The timeline depends on the size of the space and the type of flooring, but most projects take 1–3 days. We’ll give you a more accurate estimate after the initial consultation.
Do I need to move my furniture before the installation?
We ask that you move small items and personal belongings ahead of time. If you'd like us to handle large furniture or appliances, we’re happy to help for a small additional fee—just let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.
Can I stay in my home during the installation?
Usually yes, especially for smaller projects. For larger or multi-day installs, it might be more comfortable to plan for limited access to the work area.
Can my pet be in the house during installation?
We love your fur-babies! 🐾 While pets are welcome in the home, we recommend keeping them safely away from the work area during installation. This helps avoid stress for them and keeps everyone safe while tools and materials are in use.
